On-page SEO is the part you fully control: what each page says, how it is structured and how pages connect. For Privé Properties, a luxury real estate website in Puerto Cancún, we audited 20+ pages with Screaming Frog and optimised the 10 most important ones. Here is the checklist, with what we found.
1. Title tags
Check that every page has a unique title of a sensible length with the main keyword near the front. The audit found title length issues across several pages.
2. Meta descriptions
Missing descriptions were common. Each core page got a description written for buyers and investors, explaining what they would find.
3. One clear H1
Several pages had no H1 at all. Every page needs one heading that states its topic.
4. Heading structure
Use H2s for main sections and H3s beneath them, in order, so both people and search engines can scan the page.
5. Keyword mapping
We mapped keywords to 10 core pages based on how luxury property buyers search, so pages do not compete with each other.
6. Image alt text
Property sites are image-heavy. Descriptive alt text improves accessibility and image search visibility.
7. Internal linking
We strengthened links between property and project pages so authority flows to the listings that matter.
8. robots.txt and XML sitemap
We audited both for crawl efficiency: no important sections blocked, no junk URLs listed.
9. Structured data
We recommended schema markup for real estate listings to help search engines understand properties.
10. Re-indexing and reporting
Updated pages were submitted in Google Search Console, and the client received a before and after report listing every change.
Why a before and after report matters
It shows exactly what changed and when, which makes later results easier to attribute and future work easier to plan.
We run the same process for all kinds of sites; see how it worked for SmartVideo in our SEO case study for video production companies. Or explore our SEO services.
